Earlier when the virus had started spreading, it was pretty clear- if you have a cough and fever, get yourself tested. But, as the situation started worsening, and WHO found out more about the virus, a list of symptoms was seen- like diarrhea, aches, pains, fatigue, etc.
Check with the guidelines in your area
It is not like you can just walk in and get yourself tested right away. There are certain guidelines provided in many areas. If you think you have been exposed to the virus then it is best to check with your local guidelines. However, if you are asymptomatic, it may be harder for you to get yourself tested as people showing symptoms may be prioritized. Check your state’s website for how and where you can get tested.
If feeling Unwell, call your nearest healthcare provider
In case you have been feeling unwell for the past few days, then it is always better to contact your healthcare provider first. It might help you find out if it is COVID-19 symptoms that you’re showing or is it something else altogether.
Keep a close eye on your symptoms
Most common symptoms are
- Fever
- Dry Cough
- Tiredness
- If you have been experiencing any of these symptoms, contact your healthcare provider.
Some people may show the following symptoms as well:
- Sore throat
- Diarrhea
- Headache
- Conjunctivitis
- Headache
- Lost sense of smell or taste
- Rashes
- Discoloration of toes or fingers
Serious Symptoms might Include:
- Shortness of breath
- Difficulty breathing
- Pain/Pressure in chest
- Loss of movement or speech
Seek immediate medical attention if you are experiencing any of the serious symptoms.
